Chittagong topped with three wins in a row
Chittagong have won all three of their matches in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup. The team led by Mohammad Mithun is at the top with 6 points in three matches.
Mushfiqur Rahim-led Dhaka lost to Chittagong in their first match. In the second match, Khulna was bowled out for 6 runs and Chittagong won by 9 wickets. In the third match on Monday, Mostafizra won by 10 runs against Barisal led by Tamim Iqbal with a capital of 151 runs.
Barisal won the toss and elected to bat first at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Monday. They lost wickets at intervals after batting first.
Opener Liton Kumar Das scored the highest 35 runs for the team. Besides, Shamsur Rahman scored 26 runs. Towards the end of the innings, Saikat Ali made 28 runs off just 11 balls with the help of three sixes and one four.
Barisal, led by Tamim Iqbal, lost wickets after being chased by two left-arm pacers Shariful Islam and Mostafizur Rahman.
Due to the loss of wickets in the interval, Barisal ended the innings with 141 runs for 6 wickets. Opener Tamim scored the highest 32 runs for the team. Afif Hossain scored 24 runs. Shariful and Mostafiz took three wickets each for Chittagong.
