After 7 hours the train started running on Dhaka-Ishwardi route
After the rescue of the derailed Five Up Mail train at Majhgram junction of Lalpur upazila of Natorer on the Ishwardi-Dhaka railway line, it was possible to return to normal train movement.
The train was leaving Dhaka for Chapainawabganj. Dhaka's rail link with the north-south was cut off when three bogies with locomotives derailed at 8:30 pm on Wednesday. After the accident, the passengers of that train took their alternative route. Pakshi Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Western Railway Mohammad Shahidul Islam confirmed the information.
Pakshi Divisional Signals and Telecommunications Engineer (DST) Rubaiyat Sharif Prant said the relief train came from Ishwardi and the rescue workers of the railway started work at 11 pm. Three bogies with engines were recovered at 3 pm. The train started running at 4.15 am by activating the railway line.
